Antika Singh

Emmy®-Nominated Educator|Researcher|Storyteller

Antika Singh brings her unique perspective and years of experience to her work as a progressive, learner-centered educator and consultant.

After earning her Master of Science in Education (MSEd.) at Bank Street College of Education, Antika spent 12 years teaching History/Social Studies at independent schools in NYC, Washington D.C., and San Francisco. At each institution, she created courses that centered marginalized histories, intellectual rigor, and storytelling.

Antika transitioned to educational consulting and founded Empowered Voices to broaden that work and impact by helping individuals and organizations push the boundaries of what is possible in diverse learning environments.

As she built Empowered Voices, Antika spent nearly three years co-producing The Third Rail, an Emmy®-nominated short film on school segregation in New Jersey and the landmark 2018 Latino Action Network v. State of New Jersey lawsuit, where she built much of the intellectual framework and led the research and historical context. Working on the film showed her what ethical storytelling demands and what it means to decolonize the work, especially when the narratives center BIPOC communities: how those stories get told, who holds power behind the camera, and positionality.
